HUMP DAY!
First - I made it a goal to read more educational businessy books this year, but what I've found is that I read about 40-60% of each one, and then I move on to the next one. It's hard to keep my attention, especially when I have a huge stack staring at me. The only one that kept my attention for the whole time was Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. I'm currently working through "Traction", which is good because it gets me to stop and do mental exercises. And I think I've given up on reading MREI, but mainly because it was causing me to push my mental boundaries to uncomfortable places and I'm just not there yet.
Second - IT'S SUMMER! After being a work ninja for so many months, I am definitely scaling back a bit so that I can spend time hanging out with the kiddos by the pool. B and E are doing swim team, which makes me all excited (Even though I kind of hated the sport by the end of college. Summer swim team was always my favorite.) I'm going to be an official at the meets and DQ the crap out of those 6 year olds. Jusssst kidding. :) I'll save the disqualifications for the bratty teenagers. :) In 2 weeks we leave for an epic 10-day RV adventure which we have done about 40% of the planning for. Someone should get on that. And then a few weeks after that we are having a kid-free weekend with our best friends, holed up in a beautiful mountain house. And then 2 weekends after THAT is a bachelorette party for one of my all-time favorite people. So yea, life is GOOD!
I also have 2 of my flip properties under contract and they'll sell some time in July (or maybe first week of August if the banks drag their feet). I've got some fun rehabs going on AND some friends who are building a house and letting me be a part of that process, which is just super duper exciting.
