Day 5
If you've been following along, I'm going to assume you're familiar with the Miracle Morning SAVERS by this point. If not:
My mornings don't actually start with silence. They start with a musical prayer.
After that 3 minute soul refresh, I move on to reading my goals/affirmations for about 10 mins. I don't know that I do the Visualization thing. It feels too touchy-feely for me. Then I exercise for about 20 minutes, read a book for 10, and do this blog thing for another 5-10. Somehow it ends up taking me more than an hour, probably because I grab coffee and change into workout clothes at some point.
Anyway, today I'm sharing my Affirmations, because I'm really happy that I took the time to think about the actual purpose of my life. I'm sharing my business goals, which I feel kind of funny about - why is money so taboo?

Affirmations
True SUCCESS is being present and
grateful for every moment; loving God and my family, and loving my work.
Top Goals: I will prioritize my tasks each day and focus ONLY on those that achieve
my 3 top goals for the year:
- Build and maintain a pipeline of one house flip a month
- Offload work to capable people and remove myself from the daily operations of my business so I can work ON it, not IN it.
- Build a family life that encourages kindness, nature, strength, and intelligence. Use community involvement to strengthen my family.
Purpose: My
life’s purpose is to bring joy and inspiration to others, to do the best I can
at the tasks I undertake, and to set the example of what hard work, gratitude,
and positive thinking can accomplish.
God: To
live my life in a such a way that God’s grace is evident through me.
Family: To
keep my family as my top priority. To be
an excellent spouse, supporting and cherishing my husband and the world we have
created together. I will work on
forgiving without being asked or acknowledged. To demonstrate God’s love in this world by
raising my children with love, joy, patience, and strength and have them carry
that light to the world.
Financial Abundance: My
financial goal for 2016 is $160,000 in business profits, on my way to $300,000/year. My goal is to give 10% of the profit from
each sale to charity, and to save $1,000/month.
I will invest my current retirement money and education accounts, and
maintain a $30,000 savings account separate from my business. I am committed to living within my means. Any deal more than 1/month will go toward our
garage addition.
Productivity: To maximize productivity, I will time block and focus singularly on
ONE item/area for 2-4 hours. I will turn
off social distractions and get organized about responding to communications.
Rest & Relaxation: I will time block family and relaxation time and
guard it from work interruptions. By
being present for my family I create better relationships. By turning off from work I will allow my
brain to refresh. By playing and
enjoying nature I maintain my childlike view of the world.
Music: Music brings joy to my world and, by creating it
well, joy to those around me. I will
dedicate time to bringing more music back into my life through instruments and singing.
