Best. Lent. Ever.

Cuz I got to meet (a life-sized cutout of) THE POPE!
Amazing, right?!  Yesterday somebody put a green hat on him for St. Patrick's day, which was pretty fantastic. I'm not 100% certain where this guy came from, but I'm guessing my pastor thought it would be entertaining, and he was right.  LOVE!  I'm contemplating buying one for my front porch.

As for going to Mass, the score is now 6-1.  I'm impressed with myself (totally not the spirit of the season, BTW.)  I don't think I've been this diligent in maybe ever.  I also bring those 2 little rugrats with me.  Having 2 little girls in Mass makes all the old people swoon, so I guess an unintended side effect of my Lenten journey is bringing joy to others.  Neat. (Well, except for the crotchety ones, but I just pretend not to see their scowls as Eve loudly bangs the kneeler down repeatedly.) And even though my business is still actually making me WORK (and not get money yet), I've been in a pretty great space mentally.  Not sure if it's the Mass thing or the blind faith of a few of you trusting me with lots of money though. :)

On the business front, I'm still loving what I'm doing.  It is constantly on my mind.  If you make the unfortunate mistake of mentioning anything to do with real estate, I am likely to launch into some long-winded spiel about the 99 million things floating around in my head.  (Consider yourself warned.)  On the other hand, our first property still hasn't closed, although that is finally coming together and should happen by the end of this month (10 weeks from contract date.  RIDICULOUS!  Wells Fargo, you are not the best mortgage people...)  And my offers keep getting rejected.  And I feel like I've looked at about 1,000 properties in the past 6 weeks.  But I'm getting closer.  I'm refining my pitch and my offer tactics and I foresee great things on the horizon.  Plus, SOMEBODY has got to accept one, right? :)  I'm positioning to bid on some county auction properties which are in my town, which is really exciting.  Good stuff great!

This past weekend we watched the Capoocia kids so A&G could go away for the weekend.  8 kids under 11 years old?  Yes, please!  We actually did just fine, and managed to keep everyone alive and fed for 3 whole days.  We even had a bit of fun. :)
