Late Day Sun
We've done a lot of neat projects around our house to make it prettier and/or more functional. I'm a huge believer that you can make do with a lot less space than you think, so long as you think smarter not bigger. I guess that's why I heart Ikea so much, but also why I love Ross Chapin and Sarah Susanka. They're my mentors in the form-versus-function of a house. So anyway, I started a blog to just cover house related projects, but then I got caught up in trying to backdate posts so that the chronology would be correct, and adding filler details, and pictures, and blah blah blah. And it overwhelmed me, so I've been not really blogging on it, which makes me sad. I haven't come up with a solution yet, but I'm not giving up on it either. I just need to continue my little hiatus and figure it out. I also need to figure out the ubiquitous toy dilemma and the "I don't like / I don't fit those clothes anymore" refrain that I hear from the monsters. I also need to remember how to nap, because I am a wee bit tired.
Did you know that at the end of September is our 10 year WPI reunion?!?! What? You did! That's because I've sent out a million emails coordinating and rallying, and I'm super duper excited. I know that the phrase "10 years" should make me feel old, but it doesn't. I still feel like college just happened, and also that if I had to be surrounded by 20 year olds all day (like Art) I would kill them. :) It was also my 15 year House Page Reunion this year, and I didn't make it, and I am sad. I love that Facebook has kept me somewhat connected to all those people and would have LOVED to hang out in DC with them for the weekend. Unfortunately, (but fortunately cuz we're blessed) a 6 week old baby does not really mix with a fun adventure to the city.
So yea, that's my deal. io. My dealio.
