A ton of house projects

I've been chipping away at my Vision for our humble abode over the past few months. I think the last thing I posted about was tiling the backsplash back when Mom and Dad came down in December. I thought I'd post some pics of the stuff we've taken on since then, and maybe someday go into more detail. (But probably not!)

The first and biggest - the guest bath. We actually took the time to do it right, and it turned out amazing. 3 months and about $1400 later, here's what we accomplished:

The rest of our projects have been smaller in scope and easier on our sanity. I put up wall art in the back living room, and made a set of hanging shelves to go in front of the sliding glass door (the part that doesn't slide). The shelves were my first real attempt at doing anything with wood, and they came out splendidly. Two pieces of wood, some chain and hooks, and some leftover stain and polyurethane I found in the garage. Add the plants, total project cost probably around $50 and I did it easily in one weekend.

I made a little table for the kids' living room that just makes me smile like crazy. It's dark purple, and I made it from half of a hollow core door that we found in the garage and paired it up with some Ikea stools. Wood project #2, and quite a bit more involved. Totally love it. The paint was the most expensive part, but with all the frames, stools, and table supplies, this one probably weighed in around $150.

And that's all I've got time to post now, but there are at least 4 other projects that I promise to post about soon! Hope you enjoyed my less than stellar photography skills. Half of these were taken with phone cameras :)
