Time flies
When you're having babies around the holiday season. Seriously!
Today is my first day back at work. The 3 months went super fast and it's hard to put little Eve in daycare, but at the same time I'm happy to be working again. Of course, there's not much for me to do yet, hence the bloggage. We spent Christmas in PA with the Fowler clan. I think it goes without saying that it was a great time. I'm not sure we'll do the traveling Christmas thing next year - the logistics make it such a pain. Either ordering all presents to go directly there, or finding a way to pack and carry them along with 2 kids. It added a whole lotta stress. Maybe Christmas at our house and then travel somewhere the next week. We did manage to snag a group photo, which came out surprisingly good for the amount of children in it!
We also went to a fun Christmas party for Matt's work last month. It was held at The Vinoy, which is a swanky hotel in downtown St. Pete. My second real "get all fancy" Christmas party (the first being the aircraft carrier party). I think the best part was going dress shopping! (Although, I'm still a curvy girl with a few baby pounds left, so it was also a bit frustrating to buy something that might not fit in a few months.) My stylist (Elaine!) came and helped me look gorgeous. Unfortunately, I don't have a full length picture at the moment, but here's a good one of Matt and me.
McD, Art, Shakes, and Sarah stayed until yesterday morning. It was so awesome to just have some time to hang out and catch up. There's something about cramming all your friends into one abode for a few days that really allows you to reconnect. I miss them already :( And of course, even after thinking about it like 5 times, I forgot to get all the pictures downloaded to one location from various cameras. So I've stolen these from Monica's facebook page!

And then, to top off a month of funness, we had a fantastic NYE. Shakes, Sarah, McD, Art, Tim, Monica, and Laina all came down and we did NYE in downtown Orlando. Matt won MAJOR brownie points by staying with the kids so I could go out for the first time in about a year. And what a way to go out! Golik cousin Sebastian also joined us for the event. Super fun!
Oh! And Matt and I have begun official training for the St. Anthony triathlon in May. It's an Olympic distance. And that is FAR. I found a 16 week training program, which is just how many weeks we have, and let me tell you - it is NOT going to be easy. I'm of two minds when it comes to training. I need 5-8 hours a week to work out. And normally I do really well at life in general when I have a full schedule. However, that was before I had kids. Now I'm worried that working full time and training will take too much time away from Brynna and Eve and then my family will suffer. But then I go back the other way, because I know I'm a much happier person when I'm working out regularly, and that will be a good thing for family. So we're just going to take it 1 day at a time and see what happens...
