No witty title

Buying a CX-9 was not nearly as life changing as having a second kid.  I complained a lot about pregnancy and even about the past 3 weeks of recovery and sleepless nights, but I think once you have one kid, you definitely should have 2 if you can, and possibly even 3.  And yes, I acknowledge that my baby making sessions have been pretty complication free and that I'm blessed and shouldn't complain.  Anyway, after moving to Florida and seeing how Grace and Brynna play, and even how Luke and Joseph have each other to beat on, I'm a big proponent of siblings.  But whereas I see siblings as a legacy and gift that you give your children, Matt sees them as an opportunity to possibly lose or damage his Beka, so I can understand his hesitance to have any more.  But I digress. (Wait, isn't that what blogging is?  One big digression?)

I'm adjusting to this stay at home thing.  Actually, every day I say a little prayer of gratitude for maternity leave.  It's been great to be able to sleep when I need to and snuggle with Eve when I want to.  Brynna is in daycare, and that also is a blessing.  She has hit uber-chatty mode and I just can't keep up.  I'm glad she gets to hang with other little chatterboxes during the day and do things like learn numbers and letters with someone infinitely more patient than I am right now.  Matt is back at work and happier than a pig in mud.

Matt's mom and then my mom came for visits.  Both were good but tiring.  Having guests is always tiring I think (and no, McDevitts, this does not mean I want you to cancel your visit!) I'm just enjoying a few days of down time though and pretty much making the couch my permanent residence.  I think I've about reached my TV and internet maximum though.  Now would be a good time to pick back up the Prohibition book, Last Call.  I wouldn't have picked it up if McD hadn't bought it, but it's quite good.  Especially since I suck at history and this opens my eyes to a whole world of stuff that I wasn't aware of.  :)  On the book front, I also just finished the Hunger Games series.  They freakin' rocked.  I have them on Kindle, and I think I just read somewhere about being able to loan books to people, so if you've got a Kindle or iPad and want to borrow them, figure out how and I'll let you! :)

And that's all I've got.  I have a month's worth of pictures to upload, but the very idea of it seems overwhelming...

  1. I've got a kindle and was meaning to download those! If we can swap, I've got "Room" which both Jessica and I read. Pretty damn good book ... although in your post-birth period, you might want to wait a bit.
