The death of coffee
I'm really lucky that I've been sans morning sickness so far. The only thing that really pushes my need-to-vomit button seems to be coffee (the smell of it. I haven't actually pressed my luck to see what drinking it would do.) And that is quite a shame. If you've ever seen me first thing in the morning, you understand this. My mental process when people approach me within the first 30 minutes after I wake up goes something along the lines of "Why is it talking to me?" And regardless of the arguments for and against it, I'm a firm believer that a little caffeine is not going to harm baby. But I digress.
This morning, I think I found a happy substitute that satisfies (slightly) my desire for caffeine and a warm delicious beverage - hot cocoa! And quite possibly a Dunkins Coollata would suffice when I want coffee but not of the hot variety. We'll have to explore that further.
Aside from that, it has been a tremendously wet and rainy few days in Boston. I took Brynna to the local indoor pool on Saturday so that we could get out of the house for a bit, and that was fun. Saturday night we went out to dinner with bunch of people for a family style Thai dinner. I love being able to have tons of different flavors! And then yesterday, we missed all the Boston St. Patty's Day festivities in favor of errands. Considering that the only way to thoroughly enjoy them (especially in a torrential downpour) is to be wearing a drunk rain-coat, I think that was a wise option.
