Selling it. Finally.

Our house will (cross your fingers) be sold as of next Monday, despite a few setbacks.  Namely, home inspection items (nothing too major) and a stupid VA appraisor that came in $7,000 under sale price.  That's right.  Apparently our house has lost 15% of it's value in the last 5 years.  Go figure.

The good news is that we renegotiated the contract and it's not much difference to our bottom line.  The buyer is very motivated, since she has movers already lined up for this weekend!  And I personally just can't wait to have one less stress on these bony shoulders. :)  Matt has been a freakin' rockstar with this whole thing, handling it like a pro.  I don't know why I've been such a stable person with regards to this house up until now, and in the final stretch I've just completely turned apathetic and surly.  Must be the Irish in me.

Aside from these few blips, we've been watching the Olympics like it's our job.  Back in the day we had planned to actually be AT these Olympics, but the stars just didn't align.  It's cool though, we get to see a lot more of the events on TV than if we had been there.  And we're not paying about $500/nt for a hotel room an hour away! :)  I just love the Olympics.  It's so much fun to have a reason to chant "USA USA USA!" without getting dirty looks.
