Never slow down, never grow old...

Julie Boucek, your comment made me chuckle randomly for the past few days. It's good to be loved. :)

Matt and I have been on a life binge for the past... oh... 10 years, and some days I feel it in my bones. It's good to do lots of things, but sometimes it's nice to not.

This weekend we had both an eventful and restful time. Friday night Shakes, Sarah, and Regan randomly came over and we ended up staying up talking till the wee hours. Ok, till like 12:30 when I kicked them out. :) It was a good night of unplanned solid connection. Saturday morning we drove out to Agawam and dropped Brynna with her Nana (costume too). Then we moseyed back to Beantown to go to Guster's "Lost and Gone Forever" concert. Yes, it was fantastic. They were shooting footage for a live concert video - I really hope they got me in my skimpy rockstar attire dancing in the mezzanine. Hahahahaha! After the concert we made a conscious decision to be lame and head home instead of out to the bars... it was one of Matt's Best Ideas Ever. You know why? Because as a result I got 10 straight hours of sweet sweet slumber. When I woke up, I made some pancakes and coffee and had a leisurely breakfast. Then we went to church, and for the first time in a long time, I felt a connection. That is too deep of a well to dive into right now, but suffice to say, I left feeling great, and agnostic Matt did as well. We then walked around Harvard Square, got some lunch, meandered through stores, listened to street music, and finished off with some Burdick's hot chocolate (holy moly, that stuff is decadent.)

So I guess this weekend recharged my soul a bit, and I didn't know I was in need of that until it happened...

  1. Perhaps I slowed down too early. Maybe that is why I fell so old!

    Sure do miss y'all!
