Traveling Fool
Last week was Vail. It was awesome. But I fell victim to the "careful what you wish for" curse when I posted about the 40+ and sunny. The weather was amazing - balmy even - but not what you want for a ski vacation. As a result, the conditions were awesome Sunday, deteriorating to crappy New England-esque by Tuesday, and sheer ice by Thursday. I'm trying to not be bummed, but I give up. I'm bummed about the lack of powderliciousness.
What I'm not bummed about is the awesome time I had with friends and family! I couldn't have asked for an awesomer crew, and I even think that the random timetables of people did a good job of keeping the house dynamic from getting stale. Me gusta! There was a lot of hanging, feeding, drinking, playing and all around fun that happened. You'll have to check out the Facebook pictures of the people involved (if you want to see them RIGHT NOW) or my Shutterfly site in a week or 2. Words just can't do it justice :)
We arrived home on Saturday with enough time to unpack and clean up and do some domestic stuff, then this morning I hit the airport once again for a flight to Texas (for work). So here I sit in a hotel room, tapping away on the keys, and really I should be reveling in baby-freeness and a full night of sleep! SLEEP! YAY!
