Julie's American Wedding

This past weekend Matt and I made one last trip down to PA for Julie and Paul's American wedding (reception). Saturday morning we went to watch Gary and Tom do the Philly tri, which looked like a great race. The weather was perfect and the course was all shady and tree-lined. I was super jealous I couldn't be participating! Of course, I still don't know if it's worth a $130 entrance fee. Seems a little steep for my blood. Then Saturday evening was the reception at St. Peter's Inn (in St. Peter's village) They have done such amazing things with that area and it was so adorable. They've built this huge deck off the back overlooking the river, and the weather couldn't have been better. Her family hired some Mummer's to come out and entertain us with a few songs and their outrageous outfits, and a video tribute to the wedding in England was put together by Dave. I also managed to pull off a nice short speech without falling over or crying! Rock.

Sunday was Michael's christening in Malvern, after which Matt and I made the journey back home... I don't know if it's the hormones or what, but I am just not on my driving game. Well, the basketball under my shirt makes sitting a little uncomfortable, but more than that, I have no aggressive tendencies left. So much so that when I pulled into a rest stop with a tricky exit, I made Matt drive when we left. *Sigh* This better go away after pregnancy. I don't want to be a sucky woman driver forever!
