Hormones?
This weekend was one of those times when, for really no definable reason (ergo it must be hormones), I was incredibly sad. I mean, we had a great party on Friday, but I just wasn't able to muster up the "I'm happy to be sober" attitude necessary to embrace such an event. Saturday night Matt and I went to the BU hockey game using free tickets obtained from my boss, which was definitely the highlight of the weekend. But again, we got home from the game at around 10 and I just kept thinking about all my friends out partying it up and having an awesome St. Patty's day weekend. Then Sunday was the Ras Race in Davis Square, and that brought home the fact that Spring is coming, I can't train for any races (although I think I probably could have ran/walked the Ras), and I can't celebrate in the bars afterwards. It left me feeling like I was surrounded by friends, but still completely lonely. Even going to Church didn't make me feel better. If anything, it just brought home the fact that I have nothing really to be upset about, but I was anyway.
Today is better. Maybe because it's a work week and I have other things to occupy my mind. Or maybe because my fabulous husband did everything he could think of to make me feel better yesterday. And next weekend I'll be at home for Easter, where we will once again insist that my parents hide Easter eggs for their 30-something year old children...
:) The things you do for love!

The answer is yes! You are experiencing the dreaded pregnancy hormones that make you sad when you should be happy, giddy when you should be sleeping, and mad when you should be thanking God that you have such a wonderful husband. Or at least that is what they do for me...
