The weekend update.
First - I had to move all my photo albums to Shutterfly. The good news for you is that you still don't have to log in to see them AND! you can upload your own pics to the page AND! you can add comments. Pretty psyched to see how this turns out.
Friday I took Matt out on a date to the North End (Italian district). We went to this restaurant called Strega where apparently the cast of "The Sopranos" had a party recently. There were pictures of them everywhere. The food was average, but the ambiance was great. After that we visited a couple different bars in Faneuil Hall and people watched/had a drink. In one of the bars I bought a round of drinks for some visiting sailors and felt that I had done my civic duty :) Ahhh yes, get those young 'uns drunk and let someone else deal with them :P
Saturday night I went to my first Red Sox game! It was a ton of fun, even though they lost. Luckily, it was a really close game, so the fans weren't too angry afterwards. I tried to do everything basebally that I could think of - wore a Red Sox cap with pride, ate peanuts, ice cream in the little helmet, bought a drink that cost $7, cheered all the silly cheers. (Including one where I thought they were booing the player, but then found out his last name was "Youkilis" and they were really saying "YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU". Go figure.) If tickets weren't so darn expensive I would go all the time. :)
Yesterday we went to 6 Flags New England. Naomi's little sister is in town, and Matt's Mom lives 2 miles away from the theme park, so we went and spent like 7 hours riding all the rides we could stomach - and some we couldn't :) - then we went back to her house and grilled up some food / went in the hot tub. It was only 72 degrees yesterday which made it perfect for walking around all day AND for hot tubbing!
All in all, I felt that it was a solid All-American weekend, very appropriate for the pre-4th of July weekend. Check out the Red Sox pics :)
