A Fabulous Weekend
A few factors coalesced, if you will, converged, came together - to form quite a fantastic weekend. First and foremost, the weather finally cooperated. In fact, the rest of the weekend probably would have been great no matter what just due to that fact. It went from 50s to 70s in the space of a day, and the mini skirts finally broke free from their stuffy winter hiding to make a stunning appearance. Saturday morning Matt,Shakes and I went for a run down by the river to check out the spring attire and get a little sun. We then decided to make the road trip up to Murphy's bbq, which Shakes assured me would take around an hour to get there, leaving us an hour or so to hang out and then come back in time for the evening's festivities. The only problem was that the hour math came from a car on a highway scenario, and instead, we hopped on Justin's motorcyle and meandered up Rte 1 - 3 hours later we arrived, only so that Matt and I could hop into his car and return immediately home for...
GUSTER!
We went to Saturday night's concert at the Opera House and it was A-MAZ-ING. They played all my favorite songs (which is pretty much anything), the acoustics were fabulous, the venue was gorgeous. It was my 4th Guster concert and the best so far. (Cati, "Happier" was the last song! Hence the simultaneous calls :))
Sunday morning was started with another run in the sun with Naomi and Matt, followed by a "Hey! The weather is over 60!" BBQ on our back patch of asphalt. The evening ended around a crackling fire in my new chiminea thing, and while I was cleaning up the Red Sox hit 4 home runs in a row, much to the delight of the entire neighborhood. All in all, a laid-back success.
