nothing but hanging out
now that my weekend is finally winding down i think i'll take a minute to blog. of course, i say "finally winding down" but it never really wound up to begin with. due to a last minute cancellation, instead of heading north to vermont matt, shakes, naomi and i stayed in somerville. though i may have other reasons to complain, the unexpected non-activity was definitely nice. friday evening had an outting to see Solas, a phenomenal irish group, at the 'ville theatre. which was preceded with tasty dinner and followed by drinks at the Burren. saturday i had a good angry girl day with naomi where we made ourselves happy by spending much time and money at every store imaginable. after quite a few new clothes and trying on more ridiculous shoes than you can imagine, we were in high spirits as we headed back to my place to cook dinner...
mini shea and his girlfriend, nicole, joined us for a very fun evening of cooking (yes, you can fit 6 people in our kitchen, but only if you're friends) board games, karaoke, and a little flip cup. sunday was lazy as anything. a few hours spent at Diesel cafe with (you can probably guess) naomi, shakes and matt, while playing Yahtzee.... :) and a night of gory movies - well, just one. Pan's Labrynth... it was good, but too bloody for me.
today i carried on the lazy tradition - got my eyebrows waxed, went to the gym, played the fiddle, and cooked dinner. that may seem like a lot, but that was over a 10 hour period... :)
