A little bit of journaling
I usually journal/blog when I'm in rough emotional places. It's a good way to let out the angst so that the happy can come back in. When things are good, I rarely blog unless it's to show off an accomplishment (herb garden!) This morning I'm making a point to just journal about where I'm at, and that's a content place.
Things are good. It's Spring-y outside (although I'm not convinced it's here to stay). I've been working out for 8 whole days. My family is healthy and we've been playing outside. My business, while not turning a profit yet, has enough things in the works that April should be an awesome month. Matt is having fun blowing up things in the lab with Ryan. (Just kidding, I don't think anything actually blew up. There has been some playing with different fuel mixtures for their thruster and ensuing flames.) He was actually in VT this week hanging out and doing GST stuff and seems energized and happy, which makes me energized and happy (because, you know, "WE ARE ONE!")
Oooo! Here's a good story as told by an email titled, "Liar Liar Pants On Fire":
I'm giving away the punchline, but...
And that's my life. Being a parent. Being a workaholic. Feeling totally inspired by the change of seasons. Happy.

I'm giving away the punchline, but...
B (7 year old) has always been very good about coming home and doing her homework right away. A few weeks ago she said she did her homework on the bus. I've basically offloaded pre-school and post-school parenting to husband, so I didn't think anything about her new "I did it on the bus" thing.
Well! Hubster is out of town this week, so when she came home today and said, "I did it on the bus." I said, "That's cool. Let me see." At which point she got all weird and I knew we were heading for trouble. I opened up her spelling book and saw that she hasn't done it since JANUARY 6TH. Dang. Parenting fail. And that kid is grounded until she does about 9 weeks of spelling homework.
And apparently her teacher doesn't check her spelling homework. But then again, neither do we. :)
And that's my life. Being a parent. Being a workaholic. Feeling totally inspired by the change of seasons. Happy.
