hair hair!
So, last Friday I went in to the salon to say goodbye to my blonde hair. And thought I would be saying hello to my natural color. I mean, that's why you pay them the big bucks, right? Because they do things you couldn't do yourself.
In this case, not so much. I ended the evening as brunette. Go figure. While the color does not look bad (just surprising) I'm getting it fixed. The whole point of this exercise was to go back to my natural hue and thus end this cycle of dye-"cool color"-"ugly roots" (repeat). *sigh* not psyched. Also not psyched about whether or not they're going to try to make me pay to have it fixed. Because I am not going to pay. I'm not damnit!
We had an awesomely unpacked weekend, and for that I am thankful. Naomi babysat on Saturday so that Matt and I could go out and celebrate our anniversary (3 years!) We got all fancied up and headed to Newbury Street in Boston where our plan was to bar/restaurant hop for drinks and apps. Instead, we caught the first half of a choral concert (amazing, but slightly sleep inspiring - like a 50 person lullaby) and then made our way through the chilly rain to the Cottonwood Cafe and parked it for the rest of the evening. Awesome new food - pumpkin raviolis. Yum!

Cottonwood is one of our favorites. I'm jealous! Congrats on three years.
ReplyDeleteThe brown looks good in spite of not being "right." Hope the end of the story turns out well!
