Best Baby Shower EVER!

I realize that I've been remiss to not write about my spectacular Memorial Day Weekend. I was waiting to post pictures to go along with the blog, but that's taking a little longer than expected...

So, Matt and I took a half day on Friday and drove down to PA for Memorial Day Weekend, and amazingly enough had beautiful weather and zero traffic. That pretty much set the tone! We went to Lisa and Tom's house for a big family dinner in honor of "Aunt Elaine Day", which was fabulous even though my present hadn't arrived. Regan, Shakes, Naomi, Monica and Art all came down from Boston! Saturday we spent the morning at my parent's setting up for the festivities, which commenced in the early afternoon. Dad made his (in)famous BBQ chicken, my nephews started selling beer from the keg for a quarter (but I mean, having your beer delivered to you is obviously worth $.25 I think!), and there was enough friends, family, food, and volleyball to make everyone happy. The Maryland Fowlers turned out in force and it was so great to see them all. I hope I look as good as all my cousins after I've popped out a few kids!! The evening ended with some fireworks and 8 people cramming into the 6 person hot tub. :) Oh, and at some point Elaine and Julie made the boys drink beer from baby bottles (no surprise - Shakes won.) We then went back to Lisa's for some survivor flip cup in an attempt to kick the keg...

Sunday and Monday brought yet more gorgeous sunshine, so we spent that time hanging out and eating, and eating, and eating... and hanging out. :) All in all, a perfect way to kick off the summer.
